Shaanxi methanol downstream processing project, the main production units include a 600,000-ton/year methanol-to-olefins unit, a 600,000-ton/year olefin separation unit, a 300,000-ton/year low-density polyethylene unit and a 300,000-ton/year polypropylene unit.
The project produces polyethylene, polypropylene and by-products ammonium sulfate, propane, mixed C4, mixed C5 and other chemical products through methanol conversion to olefins and olefin polymerization processes.
The project was successfully commissioned on December 25, 2015, and was awarded the "National Quality Engineering Award".

Yulin Circular Economy Coal Comprehensive Utilization Project (Phase I), with an annual output of 1.86 million tons of coal-to-methanol, and an annual conversion of 4.4 million tons of coal.
The project adopts the current mature and reliable process technology route of coal gasification to methanol, using coal as raw material, through coal gasification, CO shift, low temperature methanol washing, sulfur recovery, methanol synthesis and other processes, to achieve from coal to methanol to polyolefins And a complete industrial chain of "black to white" for various chemical products, of which methanol is all used as raw material for downstream processing projects.
The project opened the whole process at one time on December 28, 2020, and produced qualified MTO-grade methanol in 37 hours, setting a record of the shortest time from feeding material to producing methanol in China.
Yulin Chemical also has a 400,000-ton/year syngas-to-ethylene glycol project under construction. The project adopts independent technology, is designed and constructed by the National Energy Group, and all equipment is localized.
There is also the world's first 50,000 tons/year polyglycolic acid degradable material demonstration project (referred to as the PGA project). This project is one of the top ten scientific and technological projects of the National Energy Group in 2021. Using independent intellectual property technology, the product can be completely degraded in natural environments such as soil and seawater.
