He Junke led a team to Suzhou with Liu Xiaotao and Wu Qingwen

From 4 to 5 June, He Junke, Secretary of the Party Group, Vice President in charge of daily work and Secretary of the Secretariat of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST), led a research group to Suzhou to conduct a special research project on "Deepening the Reform of CAST Organisations and Assisting High-level Scientific and Technological Self-Reliance and Self-Strengthening". Mr. Liu Xiaotao, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Suzhou Municipal Committee, Mr. Wu Qingwen, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Suzhou, and academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), including Mr. Wang Chengshan, Mr. Zhou Chenghu, and Mr. Shen Shuzhong, participated in the relevant activities.

During the period of Suzhou, the research group conducted a field visit to the operations of the SZT Digital Earth International Research Centre and Academic Exchange Centre of China Computer Federation. The purpose of the visit was to investigate the practices of promoting the synergy between industry, academia and research and developing new productivity in Suzhou Nano City, Suzhou Bocui Cycle Technology Co.

He Junke visited the Suzhou Deep Time Digital Earth Research Centre to gain a deeper understanding of the relevant situation and to listen to the relevant demands and suggestions. While expressing his support, he emphasised the importance of aligning national strategic objectives, fostering international academic collaboration and partnerships, leveraging more high-quality resources, attracting more high-quality scientific research talent, and continuing to advance the big science plan to drive transformative breakthroughs. At the Academic Exchange Centre of the China Computer Federation, He Junke visited the CCF computer exhibition hall and other locations, gaining a comprehensive understanding of CCF's academic exchange activities. He expressed his hope that CCF would leverage its strengths to transform scientific and technological innovation resources and expert resources into tangible benefits, thereby enhancing the local economy and social development.

Suzhou Nano City is the world's largest integrated community of nanotechnology application industry. Upon entering Suzhou Nano City, He Junke gained further insight into nanotechnology innovation and application, key platform construction, industry cultivation and development. He expressed his desire to focus on the development of new productivity, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and continuously improve the core competitiveness of the industry. Suzhou Bocui Recycling Company is dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions for recycling key battery materials. He Junke observed the laboratory of the company and gained an in-depth understanding of the technical principles and application fields of the company's products. He encouraged the company to seize the opportunities of green and low-carbon development, further deepen its independent innovation, improve its product technology, and continuously explore new paths of sustainable development. CPU Hydrogen Power Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. is one of the first enterprises in China to provide large-scale alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment, with the capacity to produce complete systems. He Junke visited the laboratory, production workshop and other locations to gain a detailed understanding of the enterprise's hydrogen series products, including their application and electrode, diaphragm and other new product technology research and development, as well as their performance advantages. He was interested in the enterprise's approach to science and technology self-reliance and self-improvement, and how this could lead to enhanced independent research and development and innovation capabilities, as well as the opening up of new application areas. He also discussed the potential for the enterprise to seize the future of new technology. At the Moss Scientists Village, He Junke attended a presentation on the overall layout of the Moss Scientists Village and the Moss International Industrial Design Village. He expressed his hope that the Moss Scientists Village would become a hub for science and technology innovation, accelerating the transformation of the curative source, industrial design agglomeration, and the implementation of an innovation-driven development strategy.
