CPU Hydrogen Yangjiang Base Groundbreaking Ceremony Successfully Held

On September 27, 2024, Yangjiang CPU Marine Technology Co., Ltd. held a ceremony to start construction of the Hydrogen Energy Base Project in the Green Energy Demonstration Industrial Park of Yangjiang (Yangdong District), Guangdong Province.
Mr. Hu Zhifang, Deputy Secretary of the Yangjiang City Yangdong District Communist Party of China (CPC) Committee and Mayor of Yangjiang City; Mr. Chen Huaqing, Standing Committee of the Yangdong District CPC Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Yangdong District; and Mr. Xu Shangguo, Co-Founder of CPU Hydrogen Power Technology (Suzhou) Co. Additionally, Zhang Kai, the company's deputy general manager, Xu Xinxin, the general manager of Three Gorges Yangjiang Company, Zhu Jun, the deputy general manager of Three Gorges Mingyang Company and the manager of the Planning and Development Department of Yangjiang Company, Dany and Floris Bosteels, the chief executive and chief technology officer of EcoSourcing, respectively, were in attendance.
At approximately 9:00 a.m., the proceedings commenced in a formal capacity. In the warm applause, district leaders and corporate guests jointly unveiled the plaque for the base, marking the official startup phase of the project and heralding a new stage of development for CPUH2. Subsequently, a ceremonial gun salute was fired, thereby signifying the official commencement of construction of the Yangjiang CPU Hydrogen Energy Base. A photographic record of the historic moment was created by all participants in the ceremony, who were photographed together at the site.
Yangjiang CPU Hydrogen Base represents a pivotal point in the configuration of CPUH2 equipment capacity. It is intended to facilitate the development of novel application scenarios that integrate offshore wind power and hydrogen energy, while simultaneously disseminating the hydrogen energy market in South China. It has been reported that the Yangjiang CPU Hydrogen Energy Base is situated within the Guangdong Yangjiang (Yangdong District) Green Energy Demonstration Industrial Park, specifically within Building 3 of the aforementioned industrial park. The entire base encompasses four floors, with a total floor area of approximately 8,000 square meters. The initial phase is projected to have a production capacity of 50 units of hydrogen systems per year.
At the subsequent seminar, CPU Hydrogen Power Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and EcoSourcing entered into a procurement contract for a hydrogen production system. EcoSourcing, a renowned Belgian energy company founded in 1934, is a European sustainable green service provider dedicated to adopting environmentally friendly and sustainable green building materials and processes, creating smart, energy-efficient, and low-carbon solutions by focusing on innovation. The signing of this contract not only formalizes the partnership between the two companies, but also signals a new phase of collaboration in the field of hydrogen production systems.
The establishment of the Yangjiang CPU hydrogen energy base demonstrates CPUH2's strategic foresight in the emerging energy sector of Guangdong. It also exemplifies the company's unwavering confidence in the prospective growth of the hydrogen energy industry.
